For years I have been stringing my dock from post-to-post with clothesline to prevent seagulls, ducks, and geese from gathering on the deck.  This has proven very effective.  However, before I invented Seagull Stopper, seagulls kept having picnics on my boat hoist canopy.  By June, my blue boat hoist canopy was white with seagull guano and covered with their regurgitation and crayfish carcasses.  I tried fake owls, a big rubber snake, pennants, streamers, and wind socks to try to scare them away.  None of these fakes worked for long.  Sooner or later the seagulls returned.  Then I saw an ad for a powerful retrieving magnet and I had an idea; why not try attaching staffs (uprights) magnetically to my canopy;  Then I could string lines on my canopy like I do on my dock.  It worked!

During the summer of 2001, through extensive evaluation of many magnet assemblies and staff configurations, I developed Seagull Stopper and proved its effectiveness for a full season on my canopy and eleven others.  Since then, I have established a dealer network and the success of Seagull Stopper has been gratifying.  Each year sales have expanded as I expected they would.  After all, once you install Seagull Stopper, the seagulls that once plagued your canopy will move to your neighbor’s canopy and soon your neighbor will buy Seagull Stopper, and so on, and so on.
